Exhibition to Showcase the Entrepreneurial Endeavors of the Women of the KPK Province
Project Description
SNP Welfare Foundation partnered with Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University to organize the 1st International Women Conference in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (IWC 2023) on 4-5 December 2023. This event aimed to create an inclusive space for women to share insights and foster a global network of empowered women in academia.
On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition showcased the entrepreneurial endeavors of women from the KPK province. The exhibition highlighted their exquisite craftsmanship and strong entrepreneurial spirit. The honorable Governor of KPK (the chief guest), other dignitaries, and visitors, engaged with the women entrepreneurs at the stalls, expressing their profound appreciation for their talents. More than 20 stalls were set up, featuring products like handicrafts, handmade jewelry, confectionary items, books, soap, and detergent.
Project Objectives
- Showcase Women Entrepreneurs: Provide a platform for women from KPK to exhibit their products and entrepreneurial skills.
- Empower Women: Encourage and support women in their entrepreneurial endeavors by providing visibility and recognition.
- Promote Local Crafts: Highlight the unique craftsmanship and products created by women in the region.
- Foster Networking: Create opportunities for women entrepreneurs to connect with potential clients, investors, government officials, charities, and other stakeholders.
Project Activities
- Exhibition Setup and Product Display: Arrange stalls for women entrepreneurs to showcase their products, including handicrafts, handmade jewelry, confectionary items, books, soap, and detergent. Highlight their unique craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Dignitary Engagement: Facilitate interactions between women entrepreneurs and dignitaries, including the honorable Governor of KPK, to provide recognition and facilitate potential government support.
- Networking Opportunities and Business Matchmaking: Provide spaces for women entrepreneurs to network with potential clients, investors, government officials, charities, and other stakeholders.
- Media Coverage: Ensure media coverage and launch social media campaigns to increase visibility for the women entrepreneurs and local handicrafts.
