Project Description
The one-day Physician-led Medical Camp was a healthcare initiative designed to provide comprehensive vital sign assessments, including blood pressure, blood glucose levels, weight, height, and BMI measurements. Additionally, medications were prescribed based on the assessments to address immediate health concerns.This camp aimed to promote preventive healthcare, facilitate early detection of health issues, and raise awareness among the local population in Urban 5 Area, Kohat, Pakistan.
Project Objectives
- Promote Preventive Healthcare: Enhance awareness of regular health monitoring to prevent chronic illnesses.
- Early Detection of Health Issues: Identify potential health concerns through vital checks and recommend timely interventions, including prescribing necessary medications.
- Community Engagement: Encourage participation in health-focused activities to foster a healthier community.
Project Activities
- Vital Sign Assessment: Measurement of Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose Levels, Weight, Height, and BMI.
- Health Awareness Sessions: Guidance on managing hypertension, diabetes, and maintaining a healthy BMI, as well as discussions on nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle changes for better health.
- Consultations with Physician: Personalized advice based on medical history and vital sign assessment results, making referrals for advanced medical care if necessary, and prescribing medication as needed.
- Distribution of Educational Materials: Handouts and brochures on common health issues and preventive strategies.
